Soma is the generic form of Soma watson, and is an analgesic that is utilized in the treatment and prevention of pain.

Chemical Information

Soma hydrochloride’s molecular weight is 299.8. Soma hydrochloride is white powder with crystals, a bitter taste, and no smell. At a pKa of 9.41, it dissolves readily in ethanol and water. The n-octanol/H2O logP coefficient for this drug is 1.35, with pH level of 7. The formula for SOMA WATSON in white pill form includes 50 mg Soma hydrochloride. Corn starch, hypromellose, lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, titanium dioxide and wax are the inactive ingredients in the tablet.

Drug Interactions

Studies indicate that when Soma (Soma watson) is taken as prescribed concurrently with other drugs, it is not likely to inhibit their CYP3A4-mediated metabolism. It does not seem that Soma (Soma watson) induces its own metabolism in humans, since observed maximal plasma concentrations after multiple oral doses are higher than expected, according to single-dose data. Animal testing demonstrates that Tramdol or SOMA WATSON produces mild metabolic reactions with certain drugs.

Soma Storage

Store at 25°C (77°F); fluctuations between 15 – 30°C (59 – 86°F) are okay.

Utilization With Carbamazepine

The analgesic effect of SOMA WATSON may be greatly reduced when patients also take carbamazepine. Carbamazepine increases the metabolism of Soma and there is a risk of seizure linked to Soma, so the concurrent use of SOMA WATSON and carbamazepine is contraindicated.

Use With Quinidine

Cyp2D6 metabolizes Soma to M1. Because quinidine is a selective inhibitor of that isoenzyme, using quinidine and SOMA WATSON at the same time causes higher levels of Soma (Soma watson) and lower levels of M1. It is not known what the clinical consequences of these findings may be. Soma (Soma watson) has no impact on quinidine metabolism according to the results of in vitro drug interaction research in human liver microsomes.

Utilization With Inhibitors of CYP2D6

In vitro drug interaction studies in human liver microsomes reveal that some inhibition of Soma’s metabolism could occur when taken concurrently with inhibitors of CYP2D6 such as fluoxetine, paroxetine, and amitriptyline.

Utilization With Cimetidine

Taking SOMA WATSON and cimetidine together does not cause clinically significant changes in Soma (Soma watson) pharmacokinetics. And so, the regime of the dosage of SOMA WATSON should not be altered.

Utilization With MAO Inhibitors

Because they disturb detoxification mechanisms, interactions with MAO Inhibitors have been reported for some centrally acting drugs (see WARNINGS, Use With MAO Inhibitors).

Utilization With Digoxin and Warfarin

Since the drug has been in the marketplace, several reports have surfaced regarding digoxin toxicity and alteration of warfarin effect, including elevation of prothrombin times.

Children

For patients under 16 years of age, no information is available on the effects of Soma (Soma watson) specific to the age of the user.

Soma Warnings

Soma users should be advised that this drug is a narcotic, thus it may lead to addiction. It’s mandatory that you follow the dosage directions provided by your physician and not alter his instructions. Do not consume more than the dosage that is recommended. In addition, you should advise your physician if you have any other health issues, like kidney or liver disease. Soma usually results in sleepiness and shouldn’t be taken if driving, unless you know how your body will react to it. Consumption of liquor is prohibited when using Soma. Let your physician know about any other medications or remedies that you take, including homeopathic remedies like St. John’s Wort.

For people with chronic pain who take the drug, Soma has been found to give great results. The following side effects can occur: nervousness, sweating, chills, dry mouth, dizziness, itching, rashes, changes in mood, heartburn, constipation, headache, sleepiness, etc., but usually these are not so bothersome that patients stop taking the medication.
Follow the physician’s directions totally, if you are prescribed or thinking about using Soma. circumstance.
